North American P-64:

A simple fighter that was designed for export, 13 were built and it was first flown in 1940. 7 Were ordered by Peru, and 6 by Thailand, however fearing the P-64 would make it's way to Japan the US seized the P-64's and used them as trainers.

Consolidated P-30:

Bell FM-1 Airacuda:

With the growing threat of bombers Bell built the FM-1, a Heavy fighter with the role of a Interceptor. By the time the FM-1 was ready for service it was as fast as bombers, making it impossible to catch any newer bombers. The FM-1 would end up retiring in 1942 after only 2 years of service with 1 Squadron of 12 Aircraft.

The P-66 was a export aircraft destined for Sweden, however with the attack on Pearl Harbor, they weren't allowed to be exported. The P-66 was used mainly in a trainer role, however the P-66 was also deployed to the 14th Pursuit Group for a defensive role. Introduced in 1941 it was retired by the US in 1943 with 146 P-66's built.

Republic P-43 Lancer:

Developed from the P-35 the P-43 Lancer was fast at high altitude, being the only Allied fighter capable of intercepting the Ki-46 until the P-38. By the time it entered service it was obsolete, the aircraft was regulated to training and recon. 272 were built and entered service in 1941, being retired in 1943.

Bell P-59 Airacomet:

America's first production jet was the Airacomet. The P-59 didn't enter combat, it was considered inferior to the P-51 Mustang. However it was used to train American pilots for upcoming jet designs. 55 were built and flew between 1943 to 1950.

Developed from the earlier A-8 Shrike, the A-12 was the USAAC Attack aircraft of the 30's. However, changing technology rendered the aircraft obsolete by the time World War II broke out. Curtiss A-18 Shrike:

The A-18 was a production test of the earlier A-14. 13 A-18's were built, production stopped there because the funds were being sent to more advanced attacker aircraft. The A-18's entered service in 1937, and continued switching squadrons due to them upgrading to A-20's. The A-18 eventually left front-line service by 1942, being regulated to photo recon. The A-18 was retired all together by 1943.

Vultee A-31 & A-35 Vengeance:

The A-31 was the designation for the version primarily used with the exports, while the A-35 was the US version with a more powerful engine, and heavier armament. The aircraft is a Attack, and Dive bomber. The A-31 was primarily used in the Pacific theater. The Vengeance entered service in 1941 and retired in 1944, with 1,931 built.

Douglas B-23 Dragon:

Developed from the B-18 Bolo, the B-23 was much faster, and more heavily armed than the B-18. Although this Medium bomber was a improvement it wasn't as good as the other bombers of it's class, the B-25 and B-26. The aircraft was regulated to coastal patrol, and eventually regulated to a trainer. The aircraft entered service in 1940, with 38 B-23's built.

Martin B-26 Marauder:

A major bomber currently missing from the game. The B-26 was a Medium bomber, along side the B-25. At first the B-26 was known as a widow-maker due to the fact the aircraft demands high landing and take-off speeds. This was eventually solved. The B-26 would go on to serve in all theaters of war except the Eastern front. The Aircraft entered service in 1941 and retired in 1947 with a total of 5,288 being built. The B-26 had the lowest loss rate of any US bomber.

Consolidated B-32 Dominator:

Developed in parallel to the B-29, the Dominator saw many set backs, which delayed production of the B-32 until after the B-29 had already entered service. The aircraft had a short carrier with little aircraft being built but it did see action over Asia, several bombing missions and a good amount of photo recon missions. The B-32 is also known as the last allied aircraft to engage in combat with enemy forces in WWII. When on August 18 (After V-J Day) 14 A6M's and 3 N1K1's attacked 2 B-32's on a photo recon mission over Tokyo. The B-32 was introduced in January 27th, 1945, and retired on August 30th of that year. Only 118 B-32's were built.
